Key Responsibilities

  • Participate and be responsible for financial operations of a large Czech entity including all standard month-end closing procedures (e.g., expense accruals; inventory reconciliation; full trial balance review; group reporting etc.); balance sheet reconciliations; VAT preparation and submission; Intrastat reporting; etc.
  • Ensure high quality of task completion within given deadlines.
  • Effectively work with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Group consolidation and Tax teams.
  • Work on new projects such as ERP migration, intercompany reconciliations, implementation of new consolidation system etc.
  • Provide support during statutory and group audits.
  • Participation in the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Make significant contributions to the process improvements and work on the constant building of relevant knowledge.Solve ad-hoc daily business challenges. 

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Strong experience in accounting (ACCA or equivalent is advantage).
  • Experience with month-end closing activities and financial statements under Czech Accounting Standards.
  • Understanding of Inventory accounting.
  • Experience with Group reporting.
  • Experience with VAT and Intrastat reporting.
  • Must be fluent in English and comfortable using in daily written and verbal communication as business language is English.
  • Natural drive for development and self-improvement with change management skills.
  • Open minded with can-do attitude, resilient, honest, direct, and willing to learn.
  • Proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills as the right candidate will be working closely with other teams.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task without losing focus and control.
  • Stress resistant and able to focus under time pressure.
  • Very good comprehension of MS Excel (up to lookups and sum if)
  • Experience of accounting systems SAP, Oracle, Infor and consolidation systems Board, Hyperion, HFM, One Stream or similar.
