Supply Chain Network Planning Analyst
Summary
The Supply Chain Network Planning Analyst is a key position within our supply chain organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, a self-starter with analytical skills.
The individual in this role will design, implement, and maintain analytics, and develop reports to drive end-to-end supply chain initiatives and strategic scenarios based on the North American sites capacity utilization. This role is a highly interactive one, partnering with other business analysts, supply chain managers, commercial, procurement, finance, logistics, manufacturing and operations’ teams.
Essential Functions
- Work with supply chain team to gather data requirements and conduct analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations.
- Accountable for tracking, analysis, and distribution of supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including customer service KPI’s (On-time delivery performance), etc.
- Ownership of freight cost analysis to track how much freight we are charging and recovering from our customers on a monthly basis.
- Lead a Network Capacity Planning analysis and utilize analytical skills for building and maintaining supply models by working closely with the Operations, Finance and supply chain teams for developing what-if scenarios and cost-benefit analysis which will help to create backup plans and make optimal decisions quickly.
- Develop Market Analysis for target products and customers.
- Support Strategic Initiatives with cost/benefit analysis for CAPEX investment in our current Facilities for new business opportunities.
- Assist in developing analytics / reports for supply/demand/inventory balancing processes, supply chain optimization techniques and statistical approaches in supply chain strategy.
- Seek innovation in reporting and analysis tools to better assist the supply chain team and the business with the information needed.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain/Business and IT/BI teams to improve self-serve reporting capabilities, and to identify and remedy system issues.
- Identify underperforming areas in the supply chain and may suggest improvements to profitably meet customers' needs.

- Prior experience with SAP is a plus.
- Prior experience with demand/supply/schedule planning software is a plus.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business or engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of supply chain management or analytics experience.
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving.
- Focus on supply chain management or Industrial Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
- Prior Experience in Chemical Industry Supply Chain or Operations.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, v-lookups).
- APICS or similar Supply Chain Certification is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of databases, query/reporting and SQL is a plus.
- Ability to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences and build and maintain positive relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional influencing and written communication skills.
