As Account Director you will be responsible for developing and operational management of shopper-centric POS and creative solutions. This role is essential in strengthening relationships with the client and identifying growth opportunities for the business as well as ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time and against operational and financial business targets. You will drive the Client Services team and deliver ongoing solutions to resolve Client challenges.

 

The perfect candidate will have senior agency experience in an international marketing / procurement environment, in-depth experience in managing print, display and retail productions, creative services and can focus on the vision and strategy of the account.

 

The diversity of products, services, retail environments and challenges require a strong opinion and a passionate interest in retail marketing. A knowledge of the beauty and cosmetics sector would be an advantage. You have a natural passion and enthusiasm as well as a hands-on mentality to deliver against clients and company targets.

You will be responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of communication with existing clients and developing relationships and ways of working with new clients.  You will be co-ordinating and liaising with the regional account director and your operations team in market to deliver your objectives.

You will be a confident ‘self starter’ with excellent communication, relationship building and organisational skills.  This role combines pitching and strategic planning as well as driving excellent project delivery for existing clients.  Strong Client facing and presentation skills are essential as is a strategic brain and the ability to question the norm and look outside the box.

 

Fluent English and working 3 days from office is required. Other languages are a plus.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent service to client with a professional 'can do' attitude at all times
    • Manage high-profile marketing production campaigns for senior client stakeholders and /or important product launches
    • Developing effective growth strategies and managing the opportunities for these Clients
    • Liaising with internal support departments and external partners / vendors

 

  • Delivering operational excellence to provide best-in-class marketing materials, procurement/negotiations techniques, processes and innovative solutions.
    • Managing productions status and other meetings as well as taking / influencing key briefs from clients showing a clear understanding of requirements and cascade to local team
    • Take ownership of and resolve issues, quality concerns or corrective actions.
    • Providing technical input and advice on projects as required to achieve high quality standards, taking also sustainably & innovation strategies into considerations.
    • Assure your teams is delivering according to commercial agreement on savings.

 

  • Manage overall financial performance of the account, risk analysis and remedy.

 

Skills required

  • Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills, and negotiation skills
  • English Fluent
  • Experience in Print/POS, Promo and Creative services categories.
  • Extensive client service and procurement management expertise. Demonstrable track record of successful client and contract management.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, presentation – with clarity of expression.
  • Passion for quality
  • Passionate about details, capable of turning challenges into solutions, and looking for continuous improvement on processes and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP or procurement software preferable; and good Microsoft Office knowledge (PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop positive relationships at all levels, with all types of people up to Board level.
  • Some people management experience including performance management and team leadership.
