NG Bailey IT Services are currently recruiting a Project Engineer who will successfully plan and control day-to-day activities in support projects, including installation of Structured Cabling Systems (Cat5e, Cat6 & Cat6a systems)
The Project Engineer will deliver projects to the time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction objectives as defined by the Project Manager. In addition to this, they will supervise field-based staff and sub-contractors as required.
This position is working on a military site in Cyprus, therefore Security Clearance is required and is a condition of employment. NG Bailey will support with this application if you are eligible.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Ensure design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirement.
- Identifying & assisting the Project Manager with change control, including adds, omits & delays, having the ability to create bill of materials (Excel)
- Producing quality audit reports for internal use, including snagging of works & remedial action plans.
- Implementation & monitoring of Inspection & test plans including equipment calibration & correct settings.
- Daily contact with PMO staff to ensure all internal processes are adhered to (works orders / PO / GRN)
- Conduct Health & Safety activities such as, but not limited to: RAMS / POWRA / Toolbox Talks / Don’t Walk By’s / SHE Tour forms / Stand downs
What we’re looking for:
An experienced Structured Cabling engineer preferably with experience working within Defence and willing to relocate to Cyprus.
- Fully conversant with the setup, operation & downloading of Fluke Analysers
- Driving Licence
- UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness
- Manual Handling / Working at Height / Working on Ladders/ step ladders
- IOSH Working Safely
- PASMA/IPAF
- Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) Accreditation
