We have a fantastic opportunity as a Fabrication Welder of structural steel work to join our offsite facility in Drighlington, West Yorkshire. This is an exciting time to join NG Bailey offsite having increased fabrication works to supply prestigious clients on projects across the UK. 

In this role you will manufacture offsite solutions within a safe working environment using safe working procedures, and ensure all outputs are welded to the right quality standard at the optimum efficiency levels, within budget, fully complete and to programme.

Responsibilities

  • Working in line with BSEN 1090 CE marking
  • Contribute to improvements through the application of continuous improvement techniques and Lean.
  • Comply with the company’s Health and Safety standards ensuring that the “Safety first and foremost” message is visible and alive throughout all activities undertaken.
  • Manufacture welding assemblies to the relevant technical and quality standard and the required programme.
  • Undertake any such work as requested to maintain operational efficiency. Minimising non-productive time.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation within weld bays and wider factory at all times.
  • Take responsibility for your own quality output, completing all necessary quality control documentation whilst identifying and addressing quality issues.
  • Identify, highlight and record any other problems that arise during manufacture.

Experience

  • Fabrication of structural steel work
  • BSEN 1090 Experience
  • MIG/MAG welding and TIG repair process experience
