Summary

NG Bailey have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Off Site-Manufacturing division. This role will be based between our two facilities in Oakenshaw and Drighlington with the opportunity to work remotely when possible.  

This will be a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to joining a growing part of the business, with internal works in the business and external works to prestigious clients on major projects in the UK. This position will be part of the SLT at offsite which will be an integral part of this growth over the next few years looking to double profit at Offsite.

 

There will be growth opportunities for the individual to progress into the next steps of the career and build a team around them to support this.

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Where the size of the Project dictates a larger Commercial team, manage and coach any Quantity Surveyors/Assistant Quantity Surveyors to ensure that productivity is maximised.
  • Review and interpret the Contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities, record any specific risks and opportunities this may expose NG Bailey to.
  • Be responsible for cash flow forecasting and the submission of applications for payment, with appropriate substantiation of both the level of Contract works complete and Variations.
  • Assist with procurement and manage subcontractors from Invitation to Tender through to final account agreement in accordance with the Subcontract Agreement.
  • Monitor and forecast costs and revenue throughout the Project lifecycle and at completion.
  • Lead commercial team/area under control to deliver against these objectives, ensure customer satisfaction and maintain sustainable stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify, quantify and manage the agreement process of any changes to NG Bailey's contractual obligations.
  • Work alongside the Project team and Commercial Manager to negotiate settlement of the final account at that level. Facilitate final sign off in accordance with the Delegated Authorities Matrix.

 

What we’re looking for:

If you are an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with experience of responsibility in commercial aspects of M&E projects or in the construction industry we would like to hear from you. Some of the technical experience we are looking for includes:

  • NEC/JCT contract experience
  • Building services experience or knowledge within a construction environment
  • Relevant degree or equivalent
