Location             Midlands/South West of England

Salary                  £ Highly competitive package to include performance related bonus scheme

 

Role

 

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Work Winning Director to join NG Bailey.  A key position, with a high level of visibility and responsibility; you will lead pre-contract sales activity for the Midlands and South West Region to identify bid and secure key pipeline opportunities in line with engineering strategic objectives and regional business plans.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Health and Safety Provide the requisite leadership to ensure that the “Safety First and Foremost” message is visible and demonstrable throughout all activities relating to work winning
  • Lead the regional Work Winning team, ensuring identification and acquisition of projects that support the regional strategy and budgets, ensuring consistency of “bid/no bid” decision making throughout the division
  • Delivering clear direction and leadership to the work winning team through the provision of objectives, responsibilities, and accountabilities, managing performance, and identifying talent and successors accordingly
  • Manage and respond flexibly to latest market intelligence, updating growth plans, accordingly, ensuring that sales forecasts are achievable
  • Working with the Pre-Contract Director identify and agree the customers & sectors that align to both the group and regional strategy, formulating and implementing appropriate growth plans
  • Develop, implement, and maintain customer attraction and retention strategies that are built upon trust, shared values, and aligned to Group strategy
  • Build a respected and valued reputation in the industry, that develops positive long-term relationships with esteemed customers by understanding their strategic requirements
  • Lead the regional work winning team to create a culture that ensures our solutions and methodologies support customer requirements, and that exceptional customer satisfaction is evidenced throughout our projects

 

Requirements

 

  • Significant experience gained within a pre-contract sales leadership role, with responsibility for developing and winning new business
  • Proven track record of success, ideally gained within a pre-construction, or operational delivery Engineering/Construction background
  • High level of commercial acumen and gravitas with ability to influence internally and with partners and customers
  • Ability to lead from the front with a motivational and credible approach
  • A sector focus around Defence markets would be an advantage, but not essential
  • A strong technical understanding of MEP/Building services solutions

 

Support from the wider team and line management will of course be provided.
