JOB TITLE: General Maintenance Operative/ Maintenance Technician - Shifts 

LOCATION :Static

CONTRACT: Permanent

NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting General Maintenance Operative/Maintenance Technician  working day and night shifts to be based in our Prestigious London client.

 
You will provide exceptional high standards of building services provision (planned and reactive maintenance) with the utmost regard for customer service including weekly / monthly compliance tasks such as flushing, tap temperatures.  

The General Maintenance Operative/Maintenace Technician  will undertake General Handyman and semi-skilled duties including, but not limited to: Minor Building Fabric Repairs, Decorating Tasks, Plumbing Repairs and basic Electrical Repairs.  In addition, the Operative will be competent providing Planned Maintenance on Emergency Lighting and the changing of lamps and minor repairs. Also, assist Technicians when required.

The General Maintenance Operative / Maintenance technician should have a starting knowledge of both electrical and mechanical services.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:  

  • Provide general small repairs (including but not limited to re-fixing door handles, loose hinges/items, replace slats in blinds, shower fixings and rails)  
  • Lock replacement for desk/cabinets. Installation and repair of spy holes 
  • Installation of new blinds. 
  • Toilet seat re fixing and replacement 
  • Minor building fabric repairs, walls, skirting boards, doors.
  • Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks if required (fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.) 
  • Minor plumbing repairs including drain blockages 

What we’re looking for 

  • Experience of building maintenance and handyman duties
  • Fault finding abilities are essential
  • Confident, enthusiastic and pro-active
  • Competent (through experience) in performing basic plumbing and electrical repairs.     
  • City and Guilds from a Trade or equivalent
