HRIS Test Analyst (Payroll) 

Leeds or London office - Hybrid

Fixed Term Contract – 18months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HR and Payroll Test Analyst to join our team. The role involves testing our HR and Payroll System (HRIS) to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, benefits, and HR functionalities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test scripts, relating to a variety of projects, identifying issues, and collaborating with People teams to ensure seamless system operations. 

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Test Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios for our HR and payroll system (Dayforce)
    • Validate system functionalities, including payroll calculations, benefits administration, time management, and employee data management.
    • Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
  • Defect Identification & Resolution:
    • Identify, document, and track defects or system issues.
    • Collaborate with People teams to resolve identified issues and retest solutions to ensure proper resolution.
    • Report on testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Evaluate the impact of system changes on payroll accuracy, compliance, and overall HR processes.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Document test results, create detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
    • Maintain testing documentation for future reference and audits.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with HR, Payroll, IT teams, and external vendors to understand system requirements and configurations.
    • Provide support during system upgrades, patches, and rollouts.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Test Analyst, particularly in payroll systems.
  • Must have knowledge of payroll
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS, payroll software, and benefits administration systems (e.g., Dayforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle, ADP).
  • Familiarity with payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws.
  • Experience with manual testing methodologies.
  • Ability to create clear, concise test plans and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of data security and GDPR compliance in payroll and HR systems.
