Lead Document Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Document Controller to join us on the MEH Alliance, working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.  The main purpose of the role will be to oversee and manage a team document controllers to meet the requirements of a highly regulated Major Project and act as a single point interface for all document control activities on the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve project EDMS and capture mandatory document properties to support project requirements. 
  • Provide necessary procedural and database management training to the project document control staff. 
  • Interpret project document control requirements and ensure compliance. 
  • Ensure access and guidance to all project personnel on project network and location of various important procedures and standards. 
  • Manage project document control personnel staffing 
  • Provide necessary reports to the Project Management Team. 
  • Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management. 
  • Realisation of project records retention and archival and map project close out activities. 

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a similar managerial/leadership document management role, including overseeing direct reports.
  • Good Knowledge EDMS and Document Control Quality Assurance. 
  • Preferred knowledge of Business Collaborator and Teamcenter.

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project:

We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
