Data Centre Engineer (Managed Services Engineer)

We are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Engineer (Managed Services Engineer - Structured Cabling) with experience in both data centre operations and structured cabling to support our contract on a Data Centre in Croydon providing 16/7 support working 8 hours shifts.
The Data Centre Engineer will have experience of installation and fault finding of Structured and Voice Cabling systems and preferably hold or working towards CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) or CompTIA Network+ certification.
The Network Engineer will respond to service calls pertaining to faults, provisions and Business As Usual (BAU) project and approved changes works across the Managed Service contract, ensuring all calls allocated to you are delivered within NG Bailey’s clients Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Responsibilities:
You will:
- Be responsible in ensuring all calls allocated are delivered within NG Bailey’s clients Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Monitor the quality and productivity against programme and maintain daily site records and reports.
- Ensuring design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements.
- Have evident experience working within ‘Live’ Customer sites.
- Have evident experience of the installation of Structured and Voice Cabling Systems
- Be fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke Analysers
- Locate and rectify faults on structured cabling systems
- Demonstrate the ability to interface with customers with a professional and informative approach
Requirements:
You will have:
- IOSH Working Safely
- Good Working knowledge of networking, able to rack/stack, decommission, upgrade Networking Equipment and Devices.
- Working towards or Current, Cisco CCNA or CompTIA N+ qualification - Desirable
- ITIL Foundation
- Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI)
- Knowledge of Nlyte and/or iPatch imVision
- Demonstrate experience of the installation of Structured Cabling Systems
- Strong Cabling and patching background for both Copper and Fibre
- Fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke Analysers
- The ability to locate and rectify faults on structured cabling systems and standalone Voice Systems
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Lone working, the ability to work remotely
- Able to work as part of a team and be a team player
- Able to use initiative and applying a forward thinking mind set
- Demonstrate the ability to interface with customers with a professional and informative approach
- Willing to travel
