Business Change Manager – Data Insights

12 month Fixed Term Contract

 

Our Engineering division has set out an ambitious 3-year roadmap to invest in digital solution to improve both the overall performance of the division and colleagues’ work-life and we are looking for a Business Change Manager to join the team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.    

This is a high-profile role and we need people who are passionate about driving change and delivering business benefits.  You need to be confident working in a dynamic environment and willing to be ‘hands-on’ where needed.   

 

This is a 12-month Fixed Term contract to cover maternity leave. We are open to applicants based across the country however some travel to our northern offices may be required early on to meet with colleagues and prominent stakeholders.

 

You will work within the Engineering division as part of the Digital Transformation team, to identify, prioritise and deliver digital improvements throughout the division, ensuring simplicity, relevance and efficiency at all times. Ensure that the changes deployed are effective, sustainable and can be measured to demonstrate impact. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • To champion and lead the move of Engineering to a more data centric business.   
  • The role will manage the definition, deployment and population of the Engineering Data Analytics Platform and the creation and continual improvement of dashboards/reports.  
  • The focus of the role is managing business change and data analytics adoption and will coordinate input from multiple SMEs. 
  • To report and measure the benefits of business change. 
  • Ensure that all developed systems and processes are aligned with Engineering’s digital principles: support Engineering’s strategic objectives, slimmer standard digital toolbox, provide insightful data, systemise and simplify business processes, facilitate collaboration, digital agility and innovation. 

Requirements: 

  • A strong understanding of data, its analysis and presentation and a passion for using data to provide business insight.  The role holder is not expected to be an expert in all datasets but will ideally have a deep understanding of at least one dataset (e.g. planning, finance, commercial, H&S). 
  • Experience of working in a construction environment. 
  • Able to confidently explain and present business cases, plans and new processes to diverse audiences: site operatives and senior management. 
  • Experience of delivering change programmes and process improvement.
