Salary: £53,650 potential to rise to £63,118 over 3 years

We have an exciting opportunity within NHS Supply Chain for a Principal  Product Owner to join our Customer Engagement team. As a business product owner, you will represent the customer to our technology partners and internal IT and systems architecture teams.

 

Every day you will … 

  • Capture customer and business requirements for solutions
  • Prioritise requirements to ensure successful delivery
  • Manage, assess, and approve the product backlog
  • Present product backlog in team meetings
  • Mitigate and resolve any conflicts to achieving sprint/release goals
  • Translate customer needs into user stories that can be actioned by our technology partners and colleagues,
  • Align to both NHS Supply Chain's business goals and its systems architecture strategy.
  • Represent the customer to the development team ensuring that the customer’s voice is present
  •  Share Knowledge internally and externally and be the first point of contact for answering questions

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

 

  • Experience in agile methodology and ability to translate customer needs into user stories.
  • Proven experience in product development (minimum 5+ years).
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.
