Salary: £73,814 potential to rise to £86,840 over 3 years (equivalent to NHS Agenda for Change Band 8c)

We have an exciting opportunity within NHS Supply Chain for a Head of Clinical Professional Standards to join our team. 

 

Every day you will … 

Work closely with the clinical executive director and the director of clinical operations and delivery as a member of the clinical directorate senior leadership team.

 

Work collaboratively with the senior leaders across NHS Supply Chain and importantly be a clinical leader within the growing clinical professional’s community, currently around 80 health care professionals and industry clinical experts.

 

Lead the development of the clinical education academy and coordinate planning and implementation of the clinical learning and education across the organisation.  Working in collaboration with our talent development department and the commercial centre of excellence undertake a learning needs analysis and skills analysis for the clinical community.

 

You will have responsibility for the development of the health care professionals (HCP) professional registration and revalidation policy, and you will play a leading role in maintaining the professionals register and ensure that we have the tools in place to support the members of the clinical community to revalidate and maintain their HCP registration safely.

 

They will develop our clinical fellow programmes and lead delivery and ensure that this new programme becomes embedded into the organisation.

 

The role has responsibility to develop the essential patient safety and quality training package for the organisation's workforce, based on the NHS England Patient Safety Syllabus.
