South Coast Nursing Homes limited are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator on a Fixed term Contract to cover a maternity leave for up to 1 Year. The start date for this role will be mid August.

 

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day function of a busy purchase ledger department for a number of residential and nursing homes within our group located across West and East Sussex.

 

The position is based at Head Office in central Worthing, there is no hybrid working.

 

We are looking for somebody who is happy to work in a small office environment and be part of our team with experience of working either in accounts or preferably purchase ledger.

The role will involve:

 

  • Receiving, coding and obtaining authority to pay all purchase invoices/credit notes across the group. These invoices will either come directly from the supplier and/or from each of the care/nursing homes.
  • Matching of all receipts and advice notes to purchase invoices. Chasing suppliers/home administrators/maintenance staff for all outstanding receipts.
  • Inputting all coded and authorised invoice onto Access Dimensions accounting system.
  • Ensuring that all credit notes that are due to be received are promptly received from the homes/supplier and posted to the accounts.
  • Reconciling all supplier statements on a regular basis and ensuring that suppliers send statements. Contacting the suppliers and chasing missing invoices/credit notes.
  • Filing of all invoices and supplier statements into supplier order once processed/reconciled.
  • Daily bank statement reconciliation

Skills, qualifications and knowledge

  • Working experience of Purchase Ledger and accounts
  • An ability to think on your feet and under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks
  • Great communication skills and the ability to get on with people and act with confidence when dealing with applicants, Managers, Directors and contractors
  • Good with their IT skills, such as Excel, Word, MS Office etc. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • A problem solver and solution provider as well as being a quick learner
