About the Role

This position will be based out of our India corporate office. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for many day-to-day activities of the India-based corporate tax team in ensuring accurate and proactive preparation and execution to all existing and incremental global tax requirements. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders deliver on expectations and successfully complete/explain responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. It is essential that the Senior Tax Accountant be collaborative, analytical, and adaptable to ensure deadlines are met timely and deliverables are complete with a high degree of confidence. 

 

All members of the Tax team must possess and leverage a financially analytical aptitude and maintain the highest compliance standards while supporting internal partners and external clients and providing team support to a growing, global organization.

 

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to a complete and accurate monthly tax filing schedule by preparing and documenting tax schedules, analyzing variance reports and reconciliations, and participating in the preparation of deliverables for senior tax leadership and accounting as assigned by the individuals manager.
  • Innovate upon established processes and procedures by providing recommendations for efficiencies and improvement in cooperation with the tax team.
  • Processing, recording, and verifying a variety of data and with the 100% compliance and delivering with in SLA and Quality standardsrelated to Accounts and Tax
  • Verifying the accuracy of tax forms and related accounting entries
  • Prepare complex analyses and comprehensive explanations including documentation for external auditors.
  • Ensure integrity of tax schedule results by reconciling results from reporting system to general ledger. 
  • Assist in researching, documenting, and implementing new policies/procedures. 
  • Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a tax policy library.
  • Set example for team of highest compliance standards and sharing/displaying of best practices.
  • Complete ad-hoc special projects as needed.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Global tax compliance
  • Experience working in a related role, ideally with exposure in EMEA and APAC regions and global tax transactions (i.e. VAT, GST, Sales Tax etc.).
  • Tax acumen to include Corporate, Indirect, VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Payroll Tax, etc.
  • Quantitative aptitudes and experience in building scalable solutions and processes to solve problems, strengthen internal controls, and increase quality.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint) and Web-based resources;
