We are seeking to hire a remote Sr. Staff Accountant to join our Finance team supporting our Vandalia, OH site…

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for billing, month end closing, royalty statements, monthly tax filings, audit support, assigned projects and continuous improvement for various entities.    

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Month end closing, maintain general ledgers, prepare account analysis, provide financial analysis and reporting
  • Management of revenue recognition and interfacing with project management to ensure all RDO and CDO invoices are processed
  • Reviewing and preparing the royalty and profit-sharing accruals
  • Prepare tax reporting (monthly and annual)
  • Audit - Complete audit requests.
  • Continuous improvement – Complete assigned projects and drive continuous improvement in Finance and cross functionally throughout the organization
  • Works effectively under deadlines
  • Participates in the development and implementation of methods, procedures, and regulations necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
  • Respects policies, procedures, and regulations in force in the company.
  • Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA degree in accounting or business from a four-year accredited university or college; plus 5 or more years of related accounting experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Macros, If Statements, Formulas).
  • Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able to prioritize duties and manage multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess the ability to take initiative to complete assignments and job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Minimal travel
  • Located within driving distance to Vandalia, OH or willing to relocate
