Subscriptions Sales Director – US Insurance Market

JOB PURPOSE

The position of Subscriptions Sales Director: US Insurance Market is a mid-level, quota-carrying sales position focused on outbound prospecting within the US insurance market. As a Subscriptions Sales Director: US Insurance Market you will need to show a deep understanding of your customers, the challenges they face and how Insurance Insider’s services help them address those challenges. To be successful in this role you will need to combine prospecting acumen with a consultative sales approach, to close business and meet monthly quotas. This role is compensated through both salary and commission.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Win new business through the sales of subscriptions and licenses
  • Pure new business sales role. Pipeline building and closing of deals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the markets the company operates in, and an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, who buys them, and why
  • Create a territory plan for your assigned markets, highlighting opportunities for growth
  • Prospect and uncover key decision makers with a requirement for insurance news
  • Carry out detailed pre-call research on prospective clients and their organizations to maximize the percentage of trials converting to sales
  • Maintain strong inter-departmental communication, both intra and inter office
  • Travel to conferences and client’s offices where necessary
  • Record all activity and interactions in Salesforce
  • Ensure you are fully aware of the company’s short, medium and long term goals and your territory plan aligns with these.

KEY INTERFACES

  • Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to the relevant teams regarding product and content development.
  • Maintain close communication with the Account Management team & Marketing
  • As the face of Insurance Insider in the market, professionalism and excellent communication skills are required

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrable history (5+ years) of success in a solutions sales environment
  • Sales training such as Challenger, Consultative or ProActive Selling
  • Subscriptions sales experience preferred
  • Insurance experience preferred

  • The annual salary range for this position is $85k - $105k. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill levels. The total compensation packages also includes commission. The salary range represents Delinian’s good faith belief of the current market-value for the role at the time of this posting and is provided in support of New York’s Salary Transparency initiative.
