Purpose of the job 

 

The Senior Account Manager will work alongside the Account Managers and Regional Account Director to ensure solutions are developed and delivered on time and against operational and financial business targets. This individual also needs to be a strong leader who can focus on the vision and strategies of the account while managing the tactical components of running the daily business. Balance daily support needs with long-term strategy and successfully combine vision and reality into effective plans. The perfect candidate will have either senior agency experience and/or production management experience with a proven track record for delivering client solutions and nurturing relationships. 

 

As Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Delivering operational excellence 
  • Delivering effective growth strategies in collaboration with the Regional Account Director, and supporting the opportunities for these Clients 
  • Management and development of Account Management team - supporting the highest possible performance and client delivery.
  • Managing and developing key client relationships 
  • Oversight of all projects to ensure delivery and troubleshoot any challenges
  • Forecasting and budgeting with support of Regional Account Director
  • Achieve and excel growth targets

 

You will be responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of communication with our clients and developing relationships and ways of working with new client stakeholders and markets.  You will be coordinating and liaising with the global team and operations team to deliver your objectives. 

 

You will be a confident ‘self starter’ with excellent communication, relationship building and organizational skills. This role combines strategic planning as well as driving excellent project delivery for our clients.  Strong Client facing and presentation skills are essential as is a strategic brain and the ability to question the norm and look outside the box. 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Management and development of Account team
  • Media and discipline neutral, the Senior Account Manager proactively finds opportunity by looking for the best way of maximizing delivery for the brand and driving this opportunity with our Clients. 
  • Working with internal studio and strategic suppliers to deliver the best solutions. The Senior Account Manager will have the ability to influence client thinking to produce outstanding results. 
  • Our ideal candidate will also have an intuitive understanding of agency operations and be able to direct strategy and work with the teams. 
  • Attending WIPs and meetings and taking / influencing key briefs from clients showing a clear understanding of requirements and cascade to local teams globally. 
  • Deliver excellent service to client with a professional 'can do' attitude at all times. 
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts. 
  • Providing technical input and advice on projects as required to achieve high quality standards 
  • Monitor projects to ensure they are delivered to specification and on time
  • Ensure activity is recorded using the designated company tools
  • Maintain a full understanding of the broad range of HH Global's services and work closely with the internal departments to provide the client with solutions to drive cost saving and process efficiencies
  • Implement new methods and procedures as required
  • Work as a team to help deliver contractual requirements, prepare presentations and complete necessary account admin and reporting
  • Ensure invoicing procedures are followed
  • Able to attend meetings away from the client site as required
  • Press passing when required and often out of normal working hours
  • Work with Regional Account Director to identify new business opportunities
  • Agree and manage budgets and P&L’s
  • Ensure profit is maximized through analysis of performance
  • Deliver services to meet and exceed contracted SLA’s
  • Manage and monitor objectives to meet key business drivers
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Company policies
  • Measure customer satisfaction and take appropriate action

 

Knowledge, Skills + Experience 

 

  • Strong Client Service experience and has built credible customer relationships at senior level. 
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Experience in POS – conceptual to execution -  ideally within the Beauty Industry and with the Retailer's knowledge
  • Previous experience working in print management/marketing print procurement
  • Sound financial reporting and forecasting experience. 
  • Naturally builds and maintains rapport with the client. 
  • Is comfortable analyzing and interpreting financial data and produces accurate reports. 
  • Works collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals. 
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Takes a logical and systematic approach to work. 
  • Takes a flexible approach to work and encourages others to do so. 
  • Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and team members. 
  • Ability to understand current/changing business strategy and participate in delivering it.
  • Can identify business issues and develop risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment. 
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving and cross-group collaboration skills. 
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to present convincingly to a senior audience. 
  • Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills. 
  • Process driven, with an eye to sales and business development
  • Approachable and confident to offer advice in meetings
  • Able to manage and communicate with key client stakeholders to successfully deliver and exceed their expectations
  • Experience in troubleshooting unexpected project issues and implementing preventative measures
