Video Editor

Purpose of the Job

The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for producing visually engaging and compelling video content that exceeds our client's needs and requirements. As a video editor, you should have strong expertise in editing content for all channels, a profound understanding of moving image principles and a passion for craft.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished video assets, incorporating visual effects, transitions, and audio elements to enhance storytelling.
• Use Adobe Premiere Pro to assemble video footage, trim clips, adjust timing, and apply colour grading to achieve the desired look and feel.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop creative concepts and execute video projects that meet client objectives and align with brand guidelines.
• Organize and sequence video clips, graphics, and animations to create a cohesive and compelling visual story that resonates with the target audience.
• Source and integrate music tracks, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the emotional impact and narrative coherence of video content.
• Work in Adobe Premiere Pro to mix and balance audio elements, adjust levels, and synchronize audio with video.
• Create motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and other graphical elements to complement video content and reinforce brand identity.
• Incorporate visual effects and compositing techniques to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling effectiveness of video assets.
• Review video drafts with clients and internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and revisions to achieve the desired final product.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• 7+ years of experience as a Video Editor, with an expert level knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills, creativity, and ability to craft compelling visual stories through video.
• Solid understanding of cinematography, editing techniques, and storytelling principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Creative agency experience a plus.
