PURPOSE OF JOB:

We are actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Vendor Alliances & Commercial Operations division as an AWS Marketplace Operations Specialist. This role is pivotal, focusing specifically on the operational facets of the AWS Marketplace Channel Partner Private Offer process.

 

Bytes, with its 2000+ vendor relationships and a successful cloud practice, stands as a frontrunner in the cloud marketplace opportunity. As the AWS Marketplace Channel Partner Private Offer Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting, orchestrating, and delivering our marketplace practice.

 

In this capacity, you will serve as the dedicated marketplace specialist and act as an overlay resource for sales, partners, and customers. Articulating clearly how we can assist customers in modernising their procurement processes through the AWS Marketplace and effectively managing the Private Offer process will be key to excelling in this exciting position.

 

The AWS Marketplace Operations Specialist is integral to Bytes Software Services' success, driving operational excellence and skilfully navigating the ever-evolving landscape of cloud services.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end operations of the AWS Marketplace, with a specialised focus on the Channel Partner Private Offer Process
  • Play a central role in day-to-day operations by proactively managing communications from customers, partners, and internal teams. Escalate issues appropriately when needed.
  • Serve as a dedicated resource for the sales team, partners, and customers, offering expert insights into AWS Marketplace capabilities.
  • Support and guide the sales team in ensuring the successful management and renewal of existing marketplace private offers, utilising available reporting platforms to track and ensure the timely execution of new offers.
  • Collaborate with sales partners to articulate the value proposition and benefits of utilising the AWS Marketplace.
  • Efficiently log, track, and oversee all incoming opportunities, utilising internal tools and report as well the AWS’ own ACE Platform to manage pipeline progression and accuracy.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for maintaining and updating supporting collateral and collaborate with our marketing team and AWS to ensure content is relevant and communicated correctly. Additionally, provide support for the upkeep and development of the AWS Marketplace Compass site.
  • Work closely with internal proposition owners, vendors, and AWS to support and execute a series of campaigns targeting Bytes customers.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting cloud marketplace operations and support in implementing and communicating necessary adjustments to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Support in identifying growth opportunities and actively participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the development and execution of strategic plans for AWS Marketplace operations.
  • Collaborate with AWS Marketplace teams to stay aligned with best practices, guidelines, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate proactively with Bytes' internal AWS Billing team to ensure accurate logging and recording of closed Private Offers within the Smart Info system.
