  1. Job Purpose

The SharePoint Lead is responsible for leading and enhancing OSB’s SharePoint and Microsoft 365 development capability to build and deploy SharePoint and M365 solutions as per business need.

You will provide leadership to the team focusing on creating a customer centric mindset via team mentoring upskilling and improving our delivery processes. Additionally, you will provide consultancy to our wider business to define solution and designs to delivery their outcomes, leveraging the SharePoint and M365 platform.

You will be responsible for facilitating the gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with business stakeholders and engineers. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. The requirement may vary from small to large scale projects. You will also oversee the development of solutions, hands on where required.

 

  1. Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee development of SharePoint/Microsoft 365 Solutions.
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Business stakeholders and engineers.
  • illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites look and behave.

•       Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.

  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.

•       Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Set clear team goals.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Motivate team members.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
  • Encourage creativity and risk-taking.
  • Create web parts, team sites and document management.
  • Leading initiatives for researching and deploying new applications.

 

 

 

  1. Experience Requirements
  • Over all 8-12 years of experience in IT.
  • Minimum 3-5year experience developing in SharePoint (on premise and online) and O365 platforms.
  • Minimum 2-year experience of Team Management.

  1. Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge of O365 platforms and technologies are essential.
  • Knowledge of Agile Delivery is essential.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps is desirable.

 

  1. Skill and Competency Requirements

Essential

  • Team management and mentoring skills are essential.
  • Strong skills in respect of written and oral communication are essential.
  • Strong skills in respect of stakeholder management are essential.
  • Excellent skills in respect of documentation, strong problem solving, analytical and time management are essential.

Desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organisational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

 

  1. Required Qualifications/Certifications
  • A B.E degree (Computer/Information Science) or equivalent technical degree or qualification (or 3 years + experience in a similar role) is essential.
  • ITIL Foundation is essential.
  • MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals is a plus.
  • Knowledge/ Experience in Release management desirable.
