A Day in the Life

The ideal     The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker and demonstrated team-player.

You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Code development, deployment, testing and debugging of low-level function (component interface, memory management, communication protocols) and architecture level function (communication infrastructure, power management, bootloaders)
• Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
• Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development (Collection of project requirements, definition of input designs, Design Implementation, V&V, Software Testing, Drafting of project documentation, Design transfer to manufacturing)
• Follow standards defined by the FDA /MDR for the medical device industry.
• Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, machines, processes or products from initial design to market release.
• Interact with other R&D teams to reach project goals

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering (5 years) [or equivalent]
• Demonstrated 4+ years work experience on embedded solution comprising microcontrollers.
• Fluent English
• Advanced knowledge of C
• Advanced knowledge of C++
• Knowledge of standard Microcontroller peripherals like TIMERS, UART, NVIC,, SPI,CAN, etc.
• Critical comprehension of electrical schematic
• Experience in using common electrical debug tool (e.g. scopes, DMM, bench power supply)
• Team Working attitude

Nice to Have

• Experience building, developing and maintaining engineering documentation.
• Experience in managing technical activities of a group of firmware engineers.
• Work/study experience outside Italy.
• Full life-cycle product development experience in the medical device, consumer healthcare, aerospace or consumer electronics industry. 
• Experience in early product definition and requirements management
• Experience with requirements management system and defect management applications.
• Experience with eclipse-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
• Knowledge of versioning tools (e.g. Svn,Git)
• Knowledge of Inlet-Altera Quartus framework
• Knowledge of PYTHON
• Knowledge of VHDL
• Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink with focus on real-time testing
• Knowledge of statistical tool for prediction and data analysis
